053: Combatting Imposter Syndrome
There are some things that are common to all people. And Imposter Syndrome is one of them. Chances are good that at some point in your career, you’ve thought to yourself, “Oh my gosh – I am waaaaaaaay out of my league and the wrong person for this job.”
The negative self-talk is deafening, all-encompassing, and can derail you faster than a greased freight train. And if I’m being honest, I’ve struggled with it too.
Fortunately, imposter syndrome is not a disease; at its core, it’s simply an underlying belief that almost always has something to do with your life experiences. And the good news is that you have the power to turn it around with just a quick shift of your mindset!
In this episode, I want to help you get to the root of what makes you worry that you’re not good enough, not the right person, or not cut out for the job. By the time we’re done, you’ll have a better understanding of where this feeling comes from, how to stop sabotaging yourself, and make that much-needed mindset shift once and for all.
